Running and fitness: shoes and training gear
Running asks for shoes that can take the kilometres and clothing that still sits right after ten washes. This department is for anyone who trains, or who is just starting out.

What you will find here
Running shoes and training gear that hold up over the kilometres. Of the brands we carry, ASICS, Nike, adidas, Puma and Under Armour belong on this department; Under Armour has its own corner here, with a rail below the brand logo.
Alongside the shoes there are performance shirts and training gear, for outdoors and for the gym.
Where you run counts
Before we look at a shoe, we look at you: how you push off and where you run. A loop over the hills of Parkstad asks for something different than a stint on a treadmill.
That conversation takes five minutes and saves you a season in the wrong shoe. If a cheaper model fits you better, we will simply say so.
Try them on and compare
You try the shoes on here and you walk around in them. Putting two models side by side is the fastest way to find out which one works for you — faster than ordering two pairs and sending one back.
Who this department is for
For anyone training for their first five kilometres and for anyone who has been running for years. For the gym as much as for the woods: training gear is training gear, wherever you put it on.
If you are after ski, outdoor or hiking clothing, the Ski & Outdoor Discountstore at the same address is the better address — that is a separate store with its own range.
Indoors runs differently from outdoors
Training on a treadmill and training on the road do not ask the same thing of a shoe. A track or a treadmill is flat and predictable; a route over the hills around here is neither.
The same goes for clothing. What sits fine in the gym can be just too little outside, and the other way round you overheat indoors in something made for outdoors. If you cannot work it out, just ask: here you always talk to someone who knows your sport.
